Entirely Recyclable and Very Affordable: Environmental Graphics from Tyvek.

Many brands, especially those targeting outdoor enthusiasts, have adopted “green” environmental policies. Yet in today's difficult economy, the pressure to reduce costs can sometimes cannibalize environmental efforts. Now, we can have both.

DuPont™ Tyvek^® provides a choice of substrates that can be 100% recycled. Many of us are familiar with the paper-like version through moisture barriers for houses, nearly indestructible envelopes, airline baggage identifiers and dozens of other uses. It is easily screen-printed, extremely light-weight (a definite plus for shipping), and is available either with a complex, multi- dimensional surface or a new ultra-smooth surface.

Tyvek^® banner products can be used inside or outdoors, are moisture and mildew resistant, temperature neutral, are extremely white and highly opaque. Tyvek banners can be flood-coated, printed on both sides with nominal bleed-through, and hemmed to achieve a highly finished effect.

In addition to its aesthetic appeal, excellent screen-printability, light weight and resistance to damage, Tyvek^® spunbonded olefin can be fully recycled. Recycled material is used in wood replacement products such as decking, lawn furniture and picnic tables. Tyvek^® can also be incinerated leaving essentially no residue and yielding twice as much energy as coal.
