Computer Environment: Project Graphics, Inc. computer systems are PC based. We use Gerber plotting systems Corel and Adobe Illustrator to design, convert, or render many different file formats. Artwork can be supplied on a 3.5” floppy disk; 100meg zip disk, CD Rom, email, or via Project Graphics website using our FTP link. (ftp.projectgraphics.com)
Whether sending artwork from a PC or Macintosh environment; Please send files in one of the following formats:
1- Corel Draw (.cdr) (11 or earlier versions),
2- Encapsulated PostScript (.eps),
3- Adobe Illustrator (.ai) (10 or earlier versions),
4- Macromedia Freehand (.fh10) (10 or earlier versions).
5- Quark X-Press (.qxd)
6- InDesign
If you are sending files that have text, convert the text to curves or paths or include the font file with your submission.
*Additionally, PDF files should be included with all artwork submitted to PG.
For your convenience, after we have analyzed your artwork and made any necessary changes we will post your artwork to our website. You will be emailed a brief message with the link to the website location.
Black & White Images: We will accept a black & white copy of your artwork. Camera-ready artwork needs to be scanned at 600 DPI no larger than 8.5” x 11”. This is helpful when there are bitmap images included in your artwork. The sharper the supplied copy, the sharper the output.
* Please note that scanning and re-creation charges will apply when traditional black and white line art is provided.
Production: For production purposes provide a color copy of your artwork, or a PDF file. Please include or indicate PMS (Pantone Matching System) color codes for all spot colors including background color. Depending on the application, please indicate whether the PMS colors are coated or uncoated.
If you are designing artwork for a banner or a streetscape project, please keep in mind the finishing process. Allow at least 1.5” around the banner for sewing and grommets. For streetscapes, please allow at least 3” on the top and bottom for pole pockets.
Closing: When sending any information to us please provide the job name and your Project Graphics sales representatives name. Following these guidelines helps us provide the best possible finished product and eliminates delays in our production schedule that will directly effect your delivery date.
